Pengpai Ocean / PX-F890
PX-F890 Underwater-Working AUV
Review Pengpai Ocean's PX-F890 for underwater inspection and task-dependent working configurations. Aqua Robot Supply coordinates selection and quotations. Choose 600 m or 1,200 m depth and confirm the camera, sonar and working-arm package; 60 kg is payload, not vehicle weight.

Rating and load qualifications
- Choose the 600 m or 1,200 m depth configuration. 600 kg is standard vehicle weight; 60 kg is payload. Metric figures are authoritative; conversions are approximate.
- Only basic ≥20 h at 3 kn is used as a reference endurance rating. The brochure also lists extended '400 hours at 3 kn' and range '100-100Km'; these anomalous records require manufacturer clarification and are not advertised as established performance.
- The 6–8-thruster/six-degree-of-freedom feature description and tail-propeller table wording require final-version confirmation. Working arms, cameras, sonar and auxiliary propulsion must be specified rather than inferred from the pictures.

On small screens, values wrap within the table. Manufacturer metric values remain authoritative.
| Parameter | Brochure value and definition |
|---|---|
| Dimensions · length × width × height | 3000 × 890 × 400 mm (approx. 9.84 ft × 35.04 in × 15.75 in) Configuration notesThe source lists 890 mm width, 3 m length and 400 mm height, reordered here as length × width × height. Final tool-envelope, mounting and packed dimensions require confirmation. |
| Standard vehicle weight | 600 kg (approx. 1,323 lb) Configuration notesVehicle mass, not payload or packed shipping-system weight. Confirm the final arms, instruments, energy and handling configuration. |
| Payload | 60 kg (approx. 132 lb) Configuration notesSeparate payload record; exact usable budget and installed mission-equipment mass must be confirmed. Title's 60 kg means payload. |
| Working-depth configurations | 600 m or 1,200 m (approx. 1,969 ft or 3,937 ft) Configuration notesIndependent depth options, not a default 1,200 m rating for every version or simultaneous operation at both ratings. |
| Velocity range | 0–4.5 kn (approx. 0–2.32 m/s) Configuration notesManufacturer range, not rated current resistance. Basic endurance is recorded at 3 kn, not maximum speed. |
| Basic endurance at 3 kn | At least 20 h at 3 kn (approx. 1.54 m/s) Configuration notesBasic manufacturer configuration. Full battery, payload, depth, temperature and test conditions require confirmation. |
| Extended-energy record | Unconfirmed — not used for selection or comparison Configuration notesThe source's extended-time and range records are anomalous; original wording is retained in the rating note below, not treated as established performance. |
| Propulsion and control — version to confirm | Feature text: 6–8 thrusters and six degrees of freedom; table: tail propeller with optional vertical auxiliary propulsion Configuration notesFinal arrangement must be clarified; do not combine these descriptions into a confirmed standard supply. Vertical diving/ascent and dynamic positioning depend on the configured auxiliary system. |
| Navigation | INS + DVL + GNSS + USBL; table precision 0.3% of range Configuration notesConfirm hardware, calibration, mission distance and conditions. This is not fixed centimetre error or an unconditional guarantee. Do not borrow PX-900's conflicting feature figure. |
| Communications | UHF, Wi-Fi, 4G, satellite and underwater acoustic communication listed Configuration notesConfirm devices, services, range and surface/underwater link behavior; not arbitrary-depth wireless live video or unlimited coverage. |
| Control software and ground station | Manufacturer visual control interface and integrated ground station; secondary development and post-mission analysis described Configuration notesLicenses, versions, delivered station components and customized networking/data functions require agreement. Manufacturer software/support descriptions are not supplier development or service-time promises. |
| Inspection and working equipment | Camera system, imaging/side-scan sonar and two working arms described; grab, cut and rotate functions listed Configuration notesTask-specific equipment scope, not all standard. Confirm arm/tool ratings, interfaces, reach, object material and inspection requirements. No verified arbitrary underwater-repair result is established. |
| Expandable sensor scope | Underwater CCD, CTD, altimeter, obstacle-avoidance sonar, side-scan sonar, multibeam sonar, shallow-profile sonar, USBL and hydrophone Configuration notesManufacturer integration candidates; actual equipment, mass, power, mounting, protocols and software must be checked. No universal third-party compatibility is confirmed. |
Task and integration scope
Applications and configuration

The brochure shows different equipment views. Exploration and Operation labels remain configuration candidates within this model, not separate products. Agree the exact thruster arrangement, arms, cameras, sonar and tool interfaces; neither render is a verified delivery list.
Application scope
Offshore-wind inspection
The manufacturer lists offshore electrical operation and maintenance. Define the structure, depth, current, visibility, observation data and tool task before selecting equipment; no maintenance result or supplier service is implied.
Underwater structures and pipelines
Structural inspection/maintenance and pipeline tasks are described. Confirm camera/sonar arrangement and any arms, reach, interfaces and tool limits; the platform is not proven compatible with every structure or repair method.
Underwater search
Underwater search is a listed application. Agree navigation, detection payload, target requirements and recovery plan; no rescue outcome or mission-success guarantee is made.
Selection limits
Consider PX-F890 when observation and a defined working-tool task must be combined, subject to manufacturer configuration confirmation. A 600 kg vehicle requires an agreed lifting/deployment arrangement and is not a portable hand-launch device. For a cable-powered inspection system review the ROV family; for long-range seabed survey compare PX-900.
Documented vehicle equipment
Flat working platform
The manufacturer describes a wet-cabin frame and flat 600 kg vehicle with a 60 kg payload record. Depth and exact propulsion version require confirmation.
Navigation and mission control
The table describes INS/DVL/GNSS/USBL, visual control software and ground control. Confirm the actual devices, acceptance conditions and delivered station.
Inspection/operation concept
Camera, sonar and two-arm capabilities are manufacturer-described task scope. Exploration/Operation remain within this single model; exact equipment and functions belong in the quoted configuration.
Optional equipment and integration
Working arms and tools
Confirm whether arms and grab/cut/rotate tooling are included, their ratings, reach, power and interfaces. Brochure functions do not prove every material can be cut or every structure repaired.
Mission observation and measurement
Imaging/side-scan and survey sonars, cameras, CTD, altimeter, USBL and hydrophone are integration candidates. Agree instrument model, payload budget, power, mounting, protocols and outputs.
Auxiliary propulsion
Vertical auxiliary propulsion is optional in the table. Confirm the final 6–8-thruster/degree-of-freedom arrangement and the conditions for vertical movement and dynamic positioning.
Energy, communications and software
Select depth and energy scope without relying on anomalous extended records. Agree surface/satellite/acoustic equipment, services, software version, licenses and customization.
Interfaces to confirm
Provide the inspection target, task, instrument/tool model, mass, size, mounting, reach, voltage/power, connectors, protocols and required data. No third-party integration tests, working-arm acceptance data or confirmed deployment interface have been supplied. Confirm handling, navigation, visibility/current limits and energy conditions in the quotation.
A brochure equipment reference is not a final delivery list. Specify each instrument, controller and accessory in the quotation.
Procurement record
