Rating and load qualifications

  • 100 kg standard vehicle weight and 20 kg payload are different quantities. Manufacturer metric figures are authoritative; imperial conversions are approximate.
  • Standard speed is 1–6 kn; endurance is 12 h at 3 kn. The PX-210 custom 15 kn option and general battery-extension claims are not PX-260 ratings.
  • Vertical diving/floating and dynamic positioning depend on the optional vertical auxiliary propulsion configuration. Navigation accuracy is package-dependent, not an unconditional 0.3% guarantee.

Configuration notes

Manufacturer table rating; mission conditions and final configuration require confirmation.

Standard velocity range

1–6 kn (approx. 0.51–3.09 m/s)

Configuration notes

Not the 15 kn custom range listed for PX-210 or the wider series. Speed is not current resistance.

Propulsion and control

Tail-propeller propulsion with cross/X-rudder control

Configuration notes

Exact propulsion hardware and control envelope to be agreed for the selected mission.

Vertical propulsion option

Optional vertical auxiliary propeller; vertical diving/floating and dynamic positioning with this configuration

Configuration notes

Not a default standard capability. Agree thruster arrangement, control functions, energy budget and task limits before selection.

Endurance at 3 kn

12 h at 3 kn (approx. 1.54 m/s)

Configuration notes

Not endurance at maximum speed. Battery, payload, temperature and full test conditions have not been supplied.

Navigation and accuracy

INS + DVL + GNSS + USBL; better than 0.3% / 0.5% / 1% of range, depending on custom configuration

Configuration notes

Select one navigation package and agree its operating conditions; these are not simultaneous or unconditional accuracy guarantees. Depth-sensor accuracy is a separate measure.

Communications and positioning

UHF, Wi-Fi, 4G and AIS positioning; satellite and underwater acoustic communications optional

Configuration notes

Surface radio/cellular/AIS functions do not guarantee underwater wireless transmission or unlimited range. Satellite services and acoustic hardware require confirmation.

Control software

Manufacturer visual control interface; secondary development and post-mission data processing/analysis described

Configuration notes

Collaborative networking and data-driven functions are customizable. Software versions, licenses, outputs and maintenance scope to confirm; no supplier service-time promise.

Movement modes

Track following, autonomous navigation, depth/altitude navigation and obstacle avoidance; surface and beyond-line-of-sight control described

Configuration notes

Manufacturer function descriptions, not unconditional obstacle-avoidance or remote-control guarantees. Sensor fit, link configuration and task constraints need confirmation.

Configuration / DetailPengpai Ocean · AUV series context · Not a matched PX-260 photograph

A different manufacturer-series scene, not PX-260 mission evidence. The photograph does not prove the optional vertical thruster, dynamic positioning, navigation accuracy or 12 h endurance; those requirements must be confirmed for the selected configuration.

Application scope
  • Marine survey

The manufacturer lists marine geology and geomorphology exploration for the small-AUV range. Define sonar, navigation, survey altitude and data requirements within the selected depth and payload envelope.

  • Monitoring and research

Marine-parameter monitoring, scientific research and sensor-test uses are described for the range. Confirm CTD or other instruments, endurance conditions, recovery plan and software outputs.

  • Aquaculture and offshore tasks

The range lists fish-farming and offshore-wind operation/maintenance applications. Mission equipment and obstacle clearance need confirmation; these descriptions do not make PX-260 a net-cleaning ROV or an automatically supplied intervention system.

Selection limits

Assess mission depth, current, obstructions, payload and safe handling for a 100 kg platform before selection. Dynamic positioning is conditional on the quoted auxiliary-propulsion configuration. For a shallower, lower-mass platform compare PX-210; for tethered live inspection or manipulation compare the ROV family.

Documented vehicle equipment
  • Vehicle and rudder control

    The table lists a 260 mm-diameter, 2.5 m platform with tail-propeller propulsion, cross/X-rudder control and a standard 1–6 kn speed range.

  • Navigation and mission control

INS/DVL/GNSS/USBL navigation and visual control software are described. Actual sensors, one accuracy configuration and enabled functions must be specified.

  • Surface control arrangement

An integrated ground station or rugged laptop plus portable communication box is listed. Confirm selected devices, communications and final delivery scope in the quotation.

Optional equipment and integration
  • Vertical auxiliary propulsion

The optional vertical propeller supports vertical diving/floating and dynamic positioning in that configuration. Confirm arrangement, operating limits, control functions and power use; do not assume it is supplied as standard.

  • Task sensors

Camera, CTD, altitude sensing, obstacle-avoidance, side-scan and multibeam sonar and USBL are expandable scope. Specify device model, mounting, mass, power, interfaces and processing requirements.

  • Satellite and acoustic links

Satellite and underwater acoustic communications are optional. Specify hardware, coverage, services and required mission-link behavior.

  • Software customization

Secondary development, networking and data-driven functions are manufacturer customization capabilities. Agree software version, licenses, deliverables and acceptance criteria; these are not supplier-owned development or support guarantees.

Interfaces to confirm

Provide the instrument model, dimensions, mass, voltage/power, connectors, data protocol and software outputs. No PX-260 third-party integration drawing or compatibility test has been supplied. Confirm navigation/calibration and the optional vertical-thruster control package separately. The series depth-sensor figure of 0.01% FS is not vessel-navigation accuracy.

A brochure equipment reference is not a final delivery list. Specify each instrument, controller and accessory in the quotation.
